'CINEMATIC'

During my year out before enrolling to University I worked at an Everyman cinema whilst also undergoing my Foundation course in Fine Art. My job penetrated my artistic influences as I developed my assignment with the title 'The Overlooked', and I decided to observe the cinematic in my everyday life. My FMP was a collection of 20 screenshots (at the time this was the number of cinema chains owned by Everyman) from films which captured a scene from one's everyday; I then went and replicated these screenshots during my everyday routine, thus enforcing the concept of the cinematic being present in a subtle way throughout life.

These images show my progression and development into my ambitious final project by capturing my own (original) ideas of what one may view as particularly cinematic. These were all taken in my own house / family member's houses to highlight the familiarity of scenes / certain shots shown in films

You can find the results of my Final Major Project under the subheading 'FMP' in the toolbar.
