'The Supermarket' is a series of photographs taken on Black & White 35mm film in response to the title 'Everyday' when on my Foundation year. I was exploring the mundanity of the Everyday task that is grocery shopping, therefore shadowed my Mum on our weekly shop to Tesco's. I purposely shot on B&W film in order to emphasise the dull nature of such an activity, however, was quite pleased as I feel the outcome of this series was more exciting than I had anticipated due to the varying tones and shadows created by the varying shaped objects on the shelves and surrounding areas. Further, I decided to explore the inside and outside areas, adding another element to the set.
